How this PDF merger works
This tool combines your PDFs in the order you add them and hands back a single file — and unlike most "free PDF mergers", the work happens entirely in your browser. Your documents are never uploaded to a server, which matters more for PDFs than almost any other file type: contracts, statements and IDs are exactly what you don't want sitting on a stranger's disk. The honest limits: password-protected PDFs can't be opened (unlock them first in the app that made them), and merging preserves pages as they are — it doesn't renumber them or rebuild a table of contents.
PDF merging tips
- Order matters: files merge in list order, and the number badge shows the sequence. Add them in the order you want, or remove and re-add to reorder.
- Merging keeps each page exactly as it was — page sizes can differ within one PDF, so an A4 report plus a US-Letter scan is fine.
- Bookmarks and interactive form fields don't survive a merge — the pages do. If your PDF relies on fillable fields, flatten it first (print to PDF).
- For huge files, close other tabs: merging happens in your browser's memory, and the practical ceiling is around 100 MB per file.

Are my PDFs uploaded to your server?
No. The files are read and combined with JavaScript running in your own browser, and the download is generated from your device's memory. Nothing is transmitted or stored anywhere — you can even load the page, go offline, and the merge still works.
Why can't it open my password-protected PDF?
Encrypted PDFs need the password to be decrypted, and this tool deliberately doesn't handle passwords. Open the file in your PDF reader, use Save As or Print to PDF to make an unlocked copy, then merge that copy.
Is there a file limit or watermark?
No watermark, no page limit, no signup. The practical constraint is your browser's memory — files up to about 100 MB each work reliably on a normal laptop or phone.
Do bookmarks and form fields survive the merge?
Pages, images and text survive exactly as they were. PDF bookmarks (the outline sidebar) and interactive form fields don't carry across — that's a structural limitation of combining documents, and most online mergers quietly drop them too.
Can I merge PDFs on my phone?
Yes — the tool is plain web tech, so it works in mobile Safari and Chrome. Select multiple files from your Files app or Drive, tap Merge, and download the combined PDF.
